Hey, guys, thanks for writing. So, an English girl called for me, eh? I didn't know any of my English friends even had that number. Interesting.
I didn't go to the huge concert for the queen, because I was studying, but I did see the parade with the forty-some royals. I had a pretty good spot, and I got pictures (hopefully they'll come out) of William and Harry, and the Queen. It was cool to see such famous folks up close, but it struck as very odd how they're so famous, even though they really didn't do anything but get born in the right spot. Weird.
I had an exam during the US World Cup game,. but ran out to find out how we did, and couldn't believe it. I know you guys aren't huge fans of the sport, but this was a huge win for the US. Other countries would have shut down for a day to celebrate a win like that. I'm pretty stoked. If we finish first in our group, we have a reasonable chance of making the quarterfinals, that is, being among the last eight teams in the tournament. Really, it's just crazy. I guess it's pretty crazy that the Canes won, too. It's been a good week in the sports world.
The exam yesterday was extremely tough, as it was last year, but I feel like I did better than last year. We'll just have to see. My last one is tomorrow, and right now, the main thing I'm feeling is just fatigue from staring at these blasted equations all day. When you get out of school, you quickly get out of the habit of studying. I used to be able to cram for a few days before exams, no problem. Now, it's like, "If I have to look at one more matrix, my head will explode." I have to keep thinking of new ways to motivate myself. The best news for me right now is 24 more hours, and this is over. Whew.
Karen, I'm trying to think of good books, but out of my collection you'll probably like a lot of what you find. You're old enough now that you can appreciate most of what I've got, so just poke around and see if anything interests you. You might try A Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Actually, you may have to read that your senior year, now. I can't remember. Or try one of my Kurt Vonnegut books; they're very entertaining.
Drew, I hope the CDs are ok. There's really not much on there that you've heard before, but I really like most of it. I'm sure you can get Karen or Steve to show you where they put the files, and you can check out the names of the groups, etc. I love the rap stuff by the Roots. Which acoustic song are you talking about; can you describe how it goes?
Well, I should get back to work, all of you take care, and enjoy your summers. And beware funny looking blonde kids driving dumptrucks.

Did you guys think I was joking? It's the summer for crying out loud, you can't be that busy. At least answer my question, Steve and Karen. Geez.
